Chinese Lion in Granny Smith parade

Chinese Lion in Granny Smith paradeEastwood was THE place to be on Saturday October 15 – as crowds in excess of 100,000 testified. What a parade! It’s always ‘east meets west’ at Eastwood and the spectacular lion weaving and nodding drew admiring comments from everyone lining the streets. Many said it was the centre of attention.

Of course your local Chamber was there on the day as were members with their own stalls.

Inside the Eastwood Shopping Centre, the Ryde Mayor had a game of Ping Pong with Victor Dominello and also attracted a big crowd.

The evening before the Koreans beat our follow Aussies and took home the inaugural Bennelong Cup in Table Tennis Test Match. Please keep your eyes open as we will have a bigger project for the Table Tennis Program involving 40 schools in Bennelong.
